The Levelland UFO Case

Over a two-hour period on the night of November 2–3, 1957, at least 15 separate witnesses in and around Levelland, Texas reported seeing a glowing, egg-shaped craft that caused their vehicle engines and headlights to fail as it passed nearby. The witnesses were spread across roads surrounding the town and had no contact with each other during the sightings. When the object departed, electrical systems restored immediately. The Air Force investigated and dismissed the event as ball lightning, despite no storm being recorded that night.
